Terms & Conditions

Rent Costa Blanca - role & responsibility
The role of Rent Costa Blanca is that  of a "Booking agent". Representatives of Rent Costa Blanca will assist  prospective rental guests in attempting to make their decision about their choice of property but the rental contract entered in to by the rental guest is with the property owner and not with Rent Costa Blanca. All guests will be provided with either the owners contact details or the contact details of the owners own property management people in Spain, immediately after the final payment for the rental of the property has been received. 

While Rent Costa Blanca attempts to ensure that both the property descriptions and photo's used on the website are accurate this cannot be guaranteed. The responsibility for the accuracy of property descriptions and photos displayed within the individual property webpages of www.rentcostablanca.co.uk is that of the property owner. Rent Costa Blanca cannot be held responsible either for inaccurate property details or for items within the rental property that are broken or in a state of disrepair. Rental guests booking their accommodation with Rent Costa Blanca do so in this knowledge. Owners of Rental properties advertised on the www.rentcostablanca.co.uk website also do so in this knowladge.

Owners terms & conditions
The following customer "terms & conditions" have been adopted by the vast majority of Rent Costa Blanca's property owners as their own. Unless advised by Rent Costa Blanca to the contrary, prior to making an initial payment, all rental guests should assume that that these Rent Costa Blanca "terms & conditions" apply to their chosen rental property.

In the event that a rental customer is advised by Rent Costa Blanca that the property owners terms & conditions are to replace those printed on the Rent Costa Blanca website, this will be done at the point that any booking is confirmed and prior to any payment being taken. In this event the general (non property related) Rent Costa Blanca "terms & conditions" will still apply.

Services
All prices are inclusive of reasonable water, gas and electricity usage unless otherwise stated.

Linen
Bed linen is provided weekly (duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases) unless otherwise stated by the owners.

Towels
Hand towels and bath towels are changed weekly unless stated otherwise by the owner (very few owners provide beach towels) 

Cleaning
Your rental property will have been checked and thoroughly cleaned before your arrival. Linen & towels are changed weekly unless otherwise stated.  Where the owners do not make a routine cleaning charge you are expected to leave your rental property in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your holiday otherwise any security deposit taken may be affected.

Damage 
While we like to think that our guests will treat our owners properties as they would treat their own home, the owners reserve the right to ask for a security deposit generally between 100 & 500 euros or pounds against each occupation.  This amount is either paid to ourselves, locally on arrival or directly to the owners prior to the departure date. The money is then refunded to you the customer as soon as it is practicable to do so. If it is not possible to do this prior to your departure, then the deposit will be returned back to you at the earliest opportunity. Please advise us after your stay if there were any “accidents” so that we can ensure that everything is fine for our next guests.

Changeover
Changeover will normally be on Saturday’s unless otherwise agreed & we cannot guarantee access before 4.00pm on the day of your arrival date. It will probably be necessary for you to vacate your apartment by 10.00am on the day of your departure, we will advise you if this is not necessary.

Booking & payment
Upon receipt of a booking application, Rent Costa Blanca will confirm your availability and the cost of the accommodation, including the deposit required. We will then make a provisional booking for you and at the same time we will direct you to our secure payment area on the www.rentcostablanca.co.uk website. Unless otherwise agreed, we will only be able to confirm to you that your booking is "secure" after payment has been received. 

In the event that a booking is made more than 8 weeks prior to the customers arrival date at their selected rental property, a 25% deposit is requested in order to secure the booking.  The outstanding balance is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. Should the reservation be made with less than 8 weeks remaining to the departure date, then the full cost of the rental property will fall due for payment before the booking can be regarded as "secure"..

Cancellation
All cancellations should be made in writing no later than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental period. Cancellation charges are as follows:

  • 8 weeks or more to departure – Deposit forfeited
  • 4 weeks to 8 weeks to departure – 75% of total cost will be charged
  • Less than 4 weeks to departure – 100% of total cost will be charged 

Your payments will be refunded to you in full in the unlikely event of our cancellation of your holiday.

Complaints procedure
In the unlikely event that any of our guests should be unhappy with aspects of their accommodation, your local representative should be made aware of the nature of the problem within 24 hours of the problem occuring. This should be followed up with a written complaint direct to the owner of the property, with a copy forwarded to Rent Costa Blanca within 7 days of the problem occuring. The local representative will of course liaise with the property owner and make every effort to resolve your issues as soon as it is practicable to do so. If this is not possible during your stay, your property owner will address your complaint at the end of your stay in their property. 

Confirmation
Upon confirming a booking the customer will receive an email confirming the reservation. A second email containing a receipt for the initial payment will be sent as soon as the initial payment has been received. This confirmation email will include the amount of any outstanding balance and the date by which the outstanding balance is due. Following receipt of your final payment, you will receive a further communication. This email will confirm the receipt of your final balance and will also provide the contact details that the customer will  require when they reach Spain, together with directions to the property and details of any "breakages deposit" that may be needed from the property owners. This email will also contain the property owners own contact numbers.

Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that the appropriate insurance is taken out in preparation for your holiday. Rent Costa Blanca can accept no responsibility to compensate rental guests for any personal injury, illness, death, loss or damage of whatever nature suffered by you, or any member of your party, during the booking period or thereafter.

Pets
The policy on pets varies by property, please ask at the time of booking.

Smoking
The policy on smoking also varies by property, again please ask at the time of booking. 

Contract of hire
All bookings are accepted subject to the above. This in turn is deemed to be accepted in full by the hirer and all persons in the party when confirming the booking.

Property descriptions
All properties marked with the symbol have been inspected by Rent Costa Blanca during the preceeding 18 month period. Rent Costa Blanca can therefore confirm that the property descriptions were an accurate reflection of the properties at that time. Rent Costa Blanca cannot however be held responsible for any subsequent changes to either the appearance or the standards of these properties.

Where a property is not marked with the symbol, the property descriptions have been compiled by the owner and Rent Costa Blanca cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of these descriptions.
