The traditional town of Aspe is 2km away with it's picturesque old town, central square, modern casino and pedestrianised area and has plenty of pavement cafes, bars and restaurants too.
The Bustling city of Elche some 10 minutes by car is split into two by the River Vinalopo. It's history stretches back to ancient times and now relies on tourism in addition to it's own prosperous economy in shoe manufacturing, sweets and clothes. There is plenty of sightseeing including Altamira Palace, Priests Garden, Moorish fortress and baths not forgetting the local shopping malls and Rio Safari Elche a popular animal park for families.
