Property description
The property benefits from stunning uninterrupted views of Altea's beautiful bay as well as the valley and mountains towards La Nucia and Benidorm. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, and at night the lights of Altea Town and Benidorm in the distance twinkle under the star filled, indigo sky. The old and new parts of Altea town are divided with the old part being on the hill and the lower part having designer shops, galleries selling hand-crafted goods as well as a range of good quality tapas bars and restaurants. The seafront promenade is lined with palm trees and has safe play areas. Altea is served both by a small local coastal railway linking Alicante with Denia, and by bus services. There are many activities on offer, scuba diving, walking, bird watching, and many places of interest, all details are available from the tourist office located on the sea front at Altea. Altea enjoys a superb year round climate with over 300 days of sunshine and low rainfall, summer temperatures can reach 40° C while winter temperatures are generally mild.
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard with comfort and relaxation in mind. The large, landscaped pool is just a few steps away. The view from the terrace is stunning and acknowledged to be the best in the complex, stretching from the rock of Benidorm in the distance and encompassing the whole Bay of Altea. Dining 'al fresco' during the day or the evening is an experience you will not forget. You can see the mountains while you swim! Beautiful Altea town and its lovely sea front promenade and beach is just ten minutes drive away and the local village of La Vella just five.
There is a very spacious main living/dining area, separate kitchen, two bedrooms - a kingsize and a double, and two bathrooms. The property has been fitted with hot and cold air conditioning and also has many other "home comforts" such as a large flat screen TV with Satellite TV, DVD, washing machine, microwave etc. The kitchen is well equipped with every utensil you may need. There are marble floors throughout and fittings of the highest quality. There is secure private car parking, sun loungers and ample terrace furniture for four people.
Altea is a lovely, historic and artistic traditional Spanish town with an abundance of bars and restaurants. The local village of Altea La Vella, five minutes drive away, has good supermarkets, chemist, banks, greengrocer, newsagents, florist, bakeries, and a number of tapas bars and good restaurants. The whole area is beautiful with views of the mountains and the sea at every turn, flowers and colour are abundant throughout the year. In Altea, the Palau performing arts centre, provides a first class cultural focus for the whole region featuring ballet, opera, classical music and light entertainment. There are many local markets with the largest on the Costa Blanca in Altea every Tuesday. You will drive through orange and lemon groves in the vallye on your way to visit the Fountains of Algar, or the spectacular mountain top view of Guadalest. Calpe, Denia, Javea and Benidorm are all within a short drive. For the family there are Aqualandia, Terra Mitica and Natura Theme Parks, and for younger children the Mundomar Sea World which are all less than 10km away. You have the choice to eat at home 'al fresco' when you want to chill out and relax, and for those times when dressing up and going out are the order of the day, the selection of restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes could not be wider.
The area is outandingly beautiful and well worth exploring. There are little villages dotted in the valleys and many small resorts along the coast. The Costa Blanca North is renowned for its good weather and has been declared by the World Health Oorgnaisation to be the healthiest place to live because of its micro climate.
