Property description
The Old Water mill is a beautifully restored 350 year old millhouse with private pool. The property is in the countryside but also near to beach. This old mill has been lovingly rebuilt by its carpenter owner over the last 18 years and, with its high ceilings and wooden floors, is unique in this part of the world. Located inland, 5 kilometers from the beach and town center, its rural location guarantees peace and tranquility. Furnished in a comfortable but rustic style, all of the rooms are airy and spacious. Float in the private pool or sip cocktails watching the sun go down on the spacious balcony, this house has all the ingredients for a restful holiday. The upper 2 floors are available for holiday lets (sleeping 8) with exclusive use of the pool.

There is a very large & spacious main living area with wooden floor & beams. Comfortable seating for 8 with Sat TV & audio equipment and a dining area seating up to 8 people. There are ceiling fans help keep cool in the summer months. There are also doors leading out on to huge roofed balcony overlooking river valley. The kitchen is very large with all the accessories you will need to rustle up a traditional dish for family and friends. The kitchen also has a fitted oven / hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher,toaster and coffee maker. There are 4 bedrooms; three with kingsize beds and a large set of bunk beds. There is also two fully-fitted beautifully tiled bathrooms complete with bath, shower, handbasin, toilet & bidet. Outside wash house with washing machine.
All the rooms have fans to keep cool during the summer heat but the old mill stays much cooler than most houses here as there are very thick stone walls. People always remark on how cool it is inside. There are also mosquito nets on all the windows & doors so the cooler night air can enter without being bitten! For the winter months there is a large woodburning fireplace in the lounge with hot air ducting to the rest of the house.
To the ouside of the property there is a splendid private pool, extensive sun bathing terraces and gardens. The house is very quiet & secluded in a pretty river valley yet only 35 mins drive to Alicante airport, 10 mins to beach & local historic fishing town & 15 mins drive to Benidorm & Theme Park. Surrounded by orange, lemon & almond trees, the perfect place place to get away from it all. There is a gas barbecue there too with plenty of chairs & tables.
