"Apolo 7" apartment itself is spacious accomodation with 2 bedrooms sleeping upto 5 people with 1 double and 1 twin bedrooms plus sofa bed in the lounge should you require the extra space. The balcony overlooking the town is perfect for Al-Fresco dining and people watching! The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances for your holiday and the 4 piece bathroom suite has both full bath and shower.
Apolo 7 has two large swimming pools, gym, squash, mini golf, table tennis, sauna and Jacuzzi plus two acres of sub-tropical gardens. One of the pools has an area for young children. During summer there's security and pools are only available for guests and residents of Apolo 7. Within the Apolo 7 main building there a number of banks (including Lloyds) plus a doctor, a laundry and good hairdresser.
Within 2 minutes walking distance of the apartment there are a variety of restaurants catering for every need at exceptionally attractive prices. The cuisine available is international and, besides Spanish of course, includes Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Italian. People travel from miles around to sample the famous fish restaurants in the marina for the “catch of the day”.
There is a Tennis Club a five minute walk away and nearby 9 hole golf-courses plus horse-riding are accessible along with boat trips from Calpe port, which take you to Altea, Javea, Benidorm and Denia.
Calpe's most famous landmark is the Penon Rock and with it's long sandy beaches, bustling port, long promenades, open air Saturday markets, abundance of shops and eateries plus internet cafes on the main high street 'Gabrio Miro'.
There are two fine white sandy “Blue Flag” beaches, which sit either side of the Penon. Playa Levante is situated to the left of the rock, just off the Moraira coast road, whilst Playa Arenal is the town beach.
Numerous fiestas take place throughout the year; the most famous being that of the Moors and Christians held in October – a celebration of colourful swaying processions recalling the famous fight for sovereignty. There are spectacular firework displays in the evening and 'the repelling of the Moors' takes place on Playa Arenal the next day.
Calpe is an ideal location for a break at any time of the year. The winter months are usually still warm and many people escape the cold of northern Europe by spending a longer period here.
