The lovely town of La Mata with is fine sandy beaches is within walking distance, while the cosmopolitan town of Torrevieja is within easy reach. "La Mata" is a splendid 2 bedroom first floor apartment situated on the much sought after and well established development of Edificio Treboll II in Torreblanca and within a short walk of the popular Costa blanca resort of "La Mata". This is a modern well maintained 1st floor apartment, located approximately 40 minutes from Alicante and Murcia International Airports and is within easy reach of Torrevieja. (Easy jet and Ryan Air go to both these airports)
The apartment comprises of two twin bedded rooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin. There is a well equipped fully fitted kitchen, with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, four ring hob and microwave. The spacious lounge/dining room has a table with six chairs, a three seat sofa which can be converted into a single bed (if required) enabling the apartment to sleep up to 5 people, plus two further easy chairs. There is a TV (Spanish only!!), a DVD player and a mini hi fi (CD, cassette and radio), so you can listen to your favourite CDs and DVDs if you wish to bring them with you.
To the outside of the property there are the large communal gardens, with open and shaded area’s laid to lawn, a perfect place to relax or to get that beautiful suntan. For those who like to swim, situated in the gardens is a large swimming pool with children’s paddling area (for the exclusive use of residents only). The swimming pool is well maintained and cleaned regularly.
Near by the apartment there are some excellent bars and restaurants. A golden sandy beach, disco bar and further bars and restaurants are just 1km down the road. All the local supermarkets offer a good range of fresh vegetables, meats and fish, and all carry a good selection of English Foods
Torrevieja is a lively Spanish town just 2km south of the apartment. You can catch a bus just outside the property at a cost of 1 euro per person each way.
The town has many clubs, bars and various places to eat, to suit all tastes. There is a large harbour and promenade including a market every night and Fun Fair (open all year round). On Friday’s you will find a large street market where you can buy almost anything. There are also plenty of good sandy beaches in the vicinity for you to play, swim or just relax and top up your tan.
La Mata is just a short walk up the beach (about 12 minutes to the north). Here you will find a small typical Spanish town, with its nice sandy beach, which is just perfect for that nice cold beer at one of the bars you will find right on the beach!! There is also a street market on Wednesday mornings (worth a visit), while Golfing enthusiasts will find a choice of two courses at Villa Martin 8km away or La Manga nr Murcia which is a championship course. Nearby is a Water Park which is open during the Summer Season. From the harbour in Torrevieja, you can take a glass bottom boat trip to Tabarca. There are no cars on the Island, but it has plenty of restaurants and is ideal for snorkelling. This is a worthwhile day trip to see a very old Spanish village. (June, July, August and September only) While you are at the harbour go aboard and take a look around the Submarine and the Coast Guard Boat. (I believe the entry is free).
A bus stop going to Torrevieja is just outside the apartment, at the bus station in Torrevieja there are further services to La Mata and Guardamar.
Car hire can be arranged, but nowadays you can probably get a better deal yourself on the internet. Airport transfers can be arranged this is payable locally.........
